surprisingly high quality
this product is superior to the holder that uses springs. except for the clip this holder is all metal with no screws to hold position. Joints hold a laptop without losing position. which is its downside too. the joints are really hard to move to get the position you want. once your there. it is not moving that's for sure.

I had my eyes on a similar arm, but since this one was half the price I decided to try it and I'm so glad I did. The other reviewers aren't kidding about the joints being tight, it was very hard to open it at first hahah, but I think they'll ease up in time. For now I appreciate it because it helps hold the weight of the 12.9" tablet. It's all metal, but it's weak point is the tablet holder, or rather, the part where it attaches to the ball head, because that part is completely plastic, it's prone to breaking eventually if you add something so heavy. I had to tighten it way too much and even then the moment you touch it, the tablet loses the inclination on the head (the joints don't move), so I wouldn't recommend it for drawing with the default attachment. But to watch things it's great! I clamped it horizontally to test, but having it clamped vertically would probably be easier on the base joint (and that thing is quite tricky to tighten and loosen with long nails).
The product is sturdy enough so far. It needs some force and 2 hands to adjust it, but that's why it stays in place. The phone holder part is just strong enough, not too much strong. Of course it swags a bit while typing, but it can not be evaded with this diameter. Joints are exact. Overall, surprisingky good construct for an item made in China.

Amazing A+ quality. it has rubber on the clamping part that the cheaper one does not have very very sturdy, have not tried with tablet, but no problem at all holding a s23 ultra fully extended with a light attached to the top. plus it also matches my laptop stand which is in the last photo. definitely recommend
